White Vanity Stool
You can buy your vanity with a chair or a white vanity stool.
This choice is matter of taste or maybe of space available in front of your vanity table. Not all vanity tables
come in sets with a stool or chair, many of them, in fact most of them are sold separately and you must buy the
stool or chair too. This to my point of view is an advantage because many times you will like the chair and not
like the table or vice versa. Buying them separately would be the best solution.
Now let’s look at the differences between a chair and a stool.
The first important point is space; a stool will fit all the way under the vanity desk, the chair will not. It will
fit only to the point where the back rest comes in contact with the table. The stool when hidden all the way under
the table looks neat and out of the way, it allows you to see the mirror and what you have on the table from other
parts of the room without having to move anything. The chair does not allow you to see what is on the table once it
is tucked in.
The chair has a back rest so you can sit at the table properly
without slouching. The fact though, is that you will not sit there for too long, so it does not really matter if it
has a backrest. Women do not sit for hours on-end before their vanity, they sit there to put on their makeup or
comb their hair, after that they stand and leave. I don’t believe that comfort will have any influence on this
decision because of the time factor she will be sitting on either the chair or the stool.
There is one important factor that may interest a woman and tip
her decision towards the stool; many stools have a secret drawer under the seat where you can store bits and
pieces. Most of them have locks too. Another advantage of the stool over the chair is that you can use it to put
your feet up and watch television without the back rest interfering with your line of sight. This may not be
something big or important but it is an option you have with the stool and don’t have with the chair. In general I
find the stool to be more practical and useful than the chair.
The stool can also have its fabric changed and be used
elsewhere, while a chair will usually needs two of a kind to be moved to a different places in the house. It is
difficult to find a new location for a lonely chair but a white vanity stool can more easily find a 2nd
home.
